To celebrate the third* anniversary of #Holohololens we go back to our first ever holoholo lenser. Please welcome the return of Shireen, in Las Vegas. Since this is her second time round with the project, her questions are slightly different. Anyway, enjoy the gallery and woohoo we’re 3 years old! WOO!!!

What's changed for you in the last 3 years?

So in the past three years, I've changed my life around. Ugh, I know that's a super cliche answer, but it's the truth. Last year, I decided to attend a coding bootcamp, The Iron Yard - Las Vegas. I spent 16 weeks learning how to become a web developer and it was probably one of the more difficult things I've ever done. It was A LOT of information in a short amount of time, but the never ending learning? It's awesome. I just started a new job as a Customer Success Engineer for Scout, an application performance monitoring platform. I handle tech support? I'm on my second week and well... I sent an email this morning, introducing myself to the team (They're in Tokyo and Colorado!) and apologizing for deleting part of the onboarding wiki from the team wiki. They got a good laugh and I wasn't fired... hell, they're letting me handle part of the knowledge base in the wiki!

What hasn't changed for you in the last 3 years?

What hasn't changed... Well, I still live in the same house. I don't remember if I mentioned it last time, but this is the second house that my mother has purchased in Las Vegas. She's eventually going to retire here. Also, I still get honey chicken katsu from the same place near my house. Lulu's Hawaiian BBQ. Honey chicken katsu, no mac salad extra rice.

What advice would you give your youngerself from 3 years ago about living on the mainland?

Honestly, I don't know what I'd tell her. I've traveled a pretty unconventional path to get to this point in my life and if it wasn't, I don't think that I'd appreciate it as much as I do now. So maybe I'd tell her, weird ish will happen and you'll go from being a music education major to a web developer. You'll meet cool people, get to work on cool projects. Enjoy the ride!

*Technically, first time the orange box went out was October 2015. 3 months later in January 2016 I posted the first gallery to holoholo lens. The rest is history
